Hi! I'm Max! I am a former medical student.

I was a pre-med neuroscience major at the University of Miami, graduating in 2018 with honors. I spent two years in medical school before realizing that, rather than medicine, my true calling was education and mentorship. I subsequently left medical school to pursue a career in these fields. It is my philosophy that students learn better in a one-on-one environment where we can go at the student’s pace and the student is more comfortable asking questions if something is not clear.

I offer one-on-one tutoring in a variety of courses both at the high-school and college levels. I have more than two years of experience tutoring at these levels. Each session will be a tailored to each student’s needs. All of our sessions are done virtually via zoom and using Microsoft whiteboard. This virtual tutoring model means I am not bound by my geographical area and can help students from all around the country. Each student can receive high-quality, enriching tutoring sessions from the comfort of their own homes.

I was a math minor in college. I took both calculus 1, 2, and 3, and received A-'s and A's in all three courses. I always found math very interesting and I enjoy helping others learn it.

I took a variety of chemistry courses in college as a chemistry minor. I have tutored chemistry and biology in the past and have received competitive grades in all courses. I also learned how to apply my knowledge at the medical school level.

I took the MCAT and received a score in the top 10%. I also scored in the 98th percentile in the CARS section of the exam.
