Hi, I'm Reese! I’m an entry-level tutor with a strong foundation in mathematics and a passion for helping students build confidence in STEM subjects. I’m currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology and Web Science at RPI, and over the past few years, I’ve gained meaningful experience supporting students across different age groups and learning environments. Whether working with younger students or mentoring peers, I’ve learned how impactful personalized support can be in transforming a student’s relationship with math.
I’ve had the opportunity to lead a Girls Who Code club, where I taught programming concepts by adjusting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying experience levels and learning styles. I also served as a manager and counselor for a FIRST LEGO League summer program, guiding elementary and middle school students through robotics and coding challenges in a fun and approachable way. These experiences taught me how to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
This fall, I’ll be mentoring Calculus I students at my college, offering guidance on foundational math concepts and encouraging problem-solving strategies. My tutoring approach focuses on patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I teach anything from elementary math to college calculus. I’m excited to work with students of all backgrounds and am always happy to tailor my methods to fit individual needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session. I look forward to helping you reach your goals in math!
