My name is Piper, I grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington Public Schools, and as such, I am highly familiar with the Lexington School Systems and surrounding areas as well. I have 6 years of experience tutoring middle school and high school students in topics ranging from algebra to English language arts to biology, to history. I have experience helping Lexington High School students skip a full year of academic math via a self-made, individually paced summer program I designed. I also have experience tutoring AP classes such as AP biology; my student received a 5 on the exam.
I graduated summa cum laude from Colgate University in 2023 with a BA in Neuroscience and English and am currently enrolled as a first-year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. I have a strong background in teaching both in tutoring settings as previously discussed and as an EMS training coordinator (volunteer). In this position, I planned and led engaging classes for student EMTs to refresh EMT protocols and retain high standards of care.
I am an extremely organized, motivated individual who has extensive experience in helping students with existing curricula and developing additional practice exercises outside of assigned material to facilitate better understanding. I greatly enjoy teaching and maximizing my students' potential. I am also adept with Zoom and other virtual platforms for added flexibility. Please reach out with any questions or to discuss if I might be a good fit for your needs!
