I am a former high school and middle school English teacher with eight years experience of classroom teaching, 13 years of private and group tutoring experience, and 10 years of journalism/photojournalism experience! If you are looking for help with English, essay-writing, or want to learn a new hobby in the art of photography, you have come to the right place!

I have taught students of all abilities, including students with learning disabilities, ELL students, students with Autism, students with Dyslexia, and students with developmental disabilities. I have experience tutoring students in writing for standardized tests, technical writing, essay writing, and teaching students how to write reflective responses on themselves. Teaching is rewarding for me- I love when students grasp a concept that they thought they couldn't master. I love tutoring my content, but more importantly, I love helping students building the confidence they need to succeed! I am a certified middle and high school English teacher who knows what it means to struggle! I used to struggle in any and all types of math, so I understand the frustration of needing something explained multiple times. In my experience, the most important part of teaching is patience and empathy. If a student doesn't understand a concept or how to do something, we find a way that works for that individual student. In addition to my education background, I have a Master's in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism from Boston University.
