I am going to be a senior this fall at Bridgewater State University. I am a computer science major, going for my Bachelors. Currently, I am a software engineering fellow at Hack. Diversity. I was selected as 1 of 50 Boston-based fellows from over 1,000 applicants, based on demonstrated technical skills and interview performance, to participate in specialized software training, professional development, and 1:1 mentorship. During the school year, I work at the Division For Student Life office at Bridgewater State, helping college students with issues such as food and home insecurity and connecting them with student outreach and special programs to help them navigate college life and academic life.

I am passionate about computer science, problem solving, and helping students. Through my academic career at Bridgewater State, I have taken advantage of external academic support through CLEP exams, credit-based exams of which, on my own and in 6 months, have passed exams that add up to the credit equivalent of two full college semesters (or one full college year.) In my Spring 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters at Bridgewater State, I was placed on the dean's list, with a GPA of 3.6. I tutor computer science-related subjects but also for CLEP exams, test prep, social studies, history, and calculus.

Some of my technical projects include a turn-based Battleship game, a Music Recommender, a web app that shows vinyl deals and new releases, and a rudimentary baby programming language interpreter. Through Hack.Diversity, I also have experience debugging and implementing features in a full-stack Pinterest-style web app across frontend and backend. The programming languages I have experience in include Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and CSS, and I am also experienced in frameworks and tools such as the MERN stack. I have certificates in IT support and data analytics from Google and have taken Harvard's CS50p class. I look forward to supporting you and your goals.

American History

I have developed a strong foundation in American History through both coursework and independent study. I have successfully passed three CLEP exams—Western Civilization I, Social Sciences and History, and History of the United States I—demonstrating my proficiency in early American history, including the period from early colonization through the Reconstruction era. I am particularly passionate about understanding the political, social, and economic forces that shaped the U.S. from its colonial origins to the post-Civil War era. My academic experience, combined with my CLEP achievements, equips me to analyze and discuss key moments and movements in American history with depth and insight.
Anthropology

Anthropology

I am an anthropologist with expertise in cultural analysis and the intersections between societal pressure, trauma, and identity. I’ve written two in-depth thesis papers exploring complex themes in East Asian culture and the convergence of noir and melodrama. My first paper, titled East Asian Culture and Its Innovative Production of Knowledge in Response to the Western World’s Dominance in the Cultural Wars, examines the psychological, social, and political pressures exerted by Western culture on East Asia and their impact on societal and cultural stagnation. The second paper, Converging Noir and Melodrama: Connections Between Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982, Exit Interview, and Other Works, explores how systemic injustice, misogyny, and trauma manifest in film and literature across cultures, highlighting the enduring effects of these societal issues. My research draws on diverse cultural contexts to explore the lasting impact of historical and societal forces on both individuals and communities.
