Mathematics is a beautiful and empowering subject that enables us to concretely understand the world around us. No matter what you do, you are likely using some form of math---arithmetic, calculus, and logic are all more or less essential skills in the modern world.

I am at the tail end of a mathematics PhD at Boston College where I have developed new tools and perspectives at the cutting edge of research in low-dimensional topology, and gained 10 semesters worth of experience teaching math at the college level. Between graduate school, pursuing an honors BS in math at the University of Texas at Austin, and being president of the math club and the National Honor Society at my elite college preparatory high school, I have accumulated thousands of hours of experience teaching and tutoring math at the high school and college levels. Algebra, geometry, topology, analysis, combinatorics, logic, probability and statistics, calculus---you name it, I've taught it.
