Hi! I’m Kayla, a neuroscience PhD candidate at Harvard University with extensive research and teaching experience. I hold dual B.A. degrees in neuroscience and criminology from the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated summa cum laude with distinction in neuroscience. Hi! I’m Kayla, a neuroscience PhD candidate at Harvard University with extensive research and teaching experience. I hold dual B.A. degrees in neuroscience and criminology from the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated summa cum laude with distinction in neuroscience. I developed a strong passion for neuroscience, research, and teaching during my time in college, and I’m excited to share that passion by helping students succeed. I’ve served as a teaching assistant for both introductory neuroscience and neuropsychopharmacology courses at the University of Pennsylvania for four years, as well as for a behavioral neuroscience course at Harvard. I've taught neuroscience at both the college and pre-college levels, and have worked one-on-one with students at all stages of learning.

I offer support in neuroscience and psychology, covering topics from cellular mechanisms to behavior and motivation. In addition to content tutoring, I provide essay coaching, including help with structuring arguments, clarifying complex ideas, and editing for clarity and flow. I also assist with research papers, focusing on scientific writing, proper citation, and synthesizing literature effectively.
