I’ve worked with people from all sorts of backgrounds as a professional MCAT tutor for all sections of the exam, and my approach to tutoring helps to develop strategies and the critical thinking skills necessary to tackle MCAT passages and questions. I emphasize interactive instruction, helping you to fully engage with the material and get the most out of our time together. If you’d like to work on a study plan, we’ll work side-by-side to determine the resources, timeline, and structure that would be the best fit for you. I’ll also walk you through many of the common pitfalls to watch out for as you begin studying for the MCAT and tell you about the “3-phase” approach that I use (content review, then non-AAMC practice, then AAMC practice). You can simply let me know whether you’d like to review certain topics, walk through practice questions, or even discuss general test-taking strategies so that you get exactly what you need out of tutoring.

I’ll encourage you to maintain a good work-life balance, pinpointing approaches that will minimize stress and maximize your score without feeling like you must study endlessly, day-in day-out. As part of this, we’ll have weekly rest days so that you have the time and energy to do the things you enjoy amidst the business of studying and anything else you have going on. This helps students stay motivated and enthusiastic throughout the entirety of their MCAT journey, leading to success on exam day.

The BEST MCAT tutor!

Ethan helped my daughter several times weekly beginning 5-6 weeks before the MCAT. Prior to Ethan, she studied for weeks and months but didn’t gain much ground. With Ethan, she got so much done in a very short time! He created a study plan, reviewed her trouble spots, and prepared well for the lessons to make the most of the time. If there were things she could do on her own between lessons, he sent her materials. MCAT scores haven’t been released yet, but her last few practice exams showed a huge step change from before. Without Ethan, she would NOT have been ready and would have had to postpone the test. We absolutely 100% recommend Ethan as a tutor and only wish we had found him earlier!

Amazing MCAT Tutor

Mr. Ethan was an amazing MCAT tutor. I came to him with short notice for taking the MCAT and he came up with a great study plan that led right up to my MCAT, but didn't overwhelm me. I had only done light content review, and in 2 months he took me through some great resources and answered all my questions. I ended up getting a score higher than my goal so I'm super grateful for Mr. Ethan and his help. Amazing MCAT Tutor

Ethan was extremely helpful with my MCAT journey. He is very knowledgeable and great at explaining any topic from the four sections on the exam. Ethan created a study plan designed specifically for my needs and time frame. He also provided me with supplemental slides for extra review. Without him I don't think I'd be anywhere close to ready for test day or where to start when it comes to studying for the MCAT. I would 110% recommend him as a tutor, he's very understanding and will help you get right where you need to be to do well.
