I am a licensed Special Education teacher with six years of experience teaching at the high school level. I currently teach Geometry in an inclusion classroom while also serving as a Special Education case manager, where I support students with a wide range of learning needs. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and have extensive experience helping students build confidence in math, organization, study skills, and executive functioning. Throughout my career, I have worked with students with ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and other learning differences, adapting my instruction to meet each student's individual needs.
My teaching experience includes working with students in both whole-class and small-group settings, as well as providing individualized one-on-one support. I specialize in breaking down complex mathematical concepts into manageable steps and helping students develop problem-solving strategies they can use independently. Whether a student is struggling with Geometry, Algebra, homework completion, or preparing for an exam, I focus on building understanding rather than simply memorizing procedures. My goal is to help students gain confidence while improving both their academic performance and their study habits.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked closely with families, teachers, and support staff to create individualized learning plans that help students succeed. My patient, encouraging, and flexible teaching style allows me to meet students where they are and adjust lessons to match their learning style and pace. I enjoy working with middle school, high school, and college students and am committed to helping every student reach their academic goals while becoming a more confident, independent learner.
