I am a recent graduate of the Queens College MFA Program in Creative Writing & Literary Translation. My creative writing has been published in multiple literary magazines, and my news articles and investigations have appeared in several Vermont newspapers.
Most recently, I was employed by Queens College as an adjunct lecturer in the English department. During the 2024-2025 school year, I taught ENGL 110 “College Writing I,” a core requirement for all Queens College students, which covers topics in composition and rhetoric.
During my time at Queens College, I worked as a graduate tutor at the Queens College Writing Center, providing individualized writing consultations to students of diverse skill levels. I am skilled in identifying and correcting patterns of error to build compositional knowledge and confidence.
I received my BA in English with a concentration in writing from the University of Vermont in 2023, where I minored in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. I have professional working proficiency in Spanish.
At UVM, I worked as a study skills tutor, assisting students with learning accommodations by helping them develop organization, time-management, and effective reading and note-taking strategies.
I would love to be of assistance to you as a writing, study skills, or subject-area tutor.
Notes: As a creative writer, I am a great resource when it comes to personal statements and college essays. My subject-area tutoring is limited to English, history, and Spanish. I have experience working with ESL students.
I charge $22/hour and always provide a written session report describing the work we did and linking any additional resources.
