Bio

For the last six year, I have taught math at a public high school in Massachusetts. I teacher AP calculus AB, and AP Precalculus, among other subjects. I have accumulated hundreds and hundreds of hour tutoring one on one. I also spent plenty of time throughout the pandemic tutoring online.

I currently specialize in the AP Calculus AB standards. I am entering my fifth year teaching this course, and I have amassed a variety of materials and routines designed to get students to achieve high scores on the AP test. I have also worked with College Board as an exam reader, grading the free response questions for students who took the AP Calculus AB exam in 2025.

I graduated in 2015 majoring in Mathematics with honors from Occidental College in Los Angeles. I studied both pure and applied math such as Topology and Numerical Analysis. At Occidental, I developed a passion for tutoring the diverse array of students, from high school students just trying to pass their basic math requirements to the diligent pre-med student who refuses to settle for an A-.

Aside from my experience on Wyzant's platform I have more than 600 hours working as a private one on one tutor. I tutor at every level between sixth grade math and third semester college calculus. I've worked with students from public school, preparatory schools and all levels of college.

With my vast tutoring experience, I've seen that learning math is akin to learning a language. As such, a math student cannot be without a strong set of algebra tools, the same way that you cannot learn a language without knowing the basics. While in college, I amassed over 250 hours of tutoring experience for many students between 6th grade math and advanced calculus courses. Graduating with honors in mathematics in 2015 I bring excitement and experience to the tutoring table.

In college my specialty was applied mathematics, which often required proficiency with basic concepts from calculus and pre calculus. Moreover many of my students have reported that my lessons one year have stayed with them for multiple years. This includes study habits and well taught concepts that continue to resurface in courses down the road.
