I picked Sharon because she had an undergraduate degree in math and had taught in elementary, middle and high school. Sharon understands that one size does not fit all. Children approach math problems in different ways. Sharon is very comfortable with this. She is more than patient. She is encouraging and in this way my son has developed the math confidence he needs. What I particularly appreciate is her ability to teach math through real life situations, making it more than just a series of procedures, and always relevant. She comes prepared, knows what she wants to hit, but she is incredibly flexible. You can ask her to cover anything. She doesn't need to go home and prepare a new lesson because she knows math. We have found her to be easy to work with, and worth every penny. Highly recommend her.

Sharon has been integral to my son's math journey. Starting with Algebra in 6th grade and continuing through Geometry and Intermediate Algebra, she helped him work through challenging AoPS classes. Sharon is an understanding, businesslike and patient teacher of math, who shares her enthusiasm for the subject with her student. Under Sharon's tutelage, my daughter was able to increase her math skills in preparation for taking the SAT. Sharon arrived very prepared for each lesson and remained focused on the material, no matter the length of the lesson, time of day or heat of the sun. We really appreciate her efforts and feel confident the extra attention to the subject will enhance our daughter's understanding of the intricacies of algebra.
