Hello! I’m Kelsey, a Massachusetts licensed educator and the founder of Fostering Student Growth, LLC. For more than 13 years, I’ve worked with students from kindergarten through middle school in classrooms, academic intervention programs, and one-on-one tutoring. My experience includes teaching early reading skills, strengthening reading comprehension, improving writing and grammar, building math confidence, and preparing students for assessments such as the ISEE, SSAT, SAT English, and state tests. I believe every student can succeed when instruction is personalized, engaging, and based on their individual learning needs.
My tutoring approach begins with understanding how each student learns best. I identify strengths, pinpoint areas for growth, and create lessons that build both academic skills and confidence. Rather than simply helping students complete homework, I teach strategies they can use independently in the classroom and beyond. I use research-based instructional practices to help students develop strong literacy, problem-solving, organization, and study skills that support long-term success.
I founded Fostering Student Growth because I wanted to provide families with individualized instruction that helps students become confident, independent learners. Whether your child is catching up, preparing for an important exam, or looking for additional academic enrichment, I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students build the skills and confidence they need to become lifelong learners.
