I am an experienced, flexible and friendly tutor who has worked with students in 2nd-12th grade in a range of subjects including study skills and memory techniques. I have worked as a full-time teacher at several grade levels in both public and private schools in the Boston area and now support middle school students in the classroom and one-on-one in Western Mass. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching as well as one in Educational Psychology. I have earned MA state professional certification in elementary education, special education, middle school math, and middle and high school history. I am also state licensed as an Adjustment Counselor. I worked as an educational consultant for the National Scrabble Association for 15 years. My experience includes working successfully and with innovation as a tutor and classroom teacher with students with ADHD, Autism spectrum, Asperger's, ODD, dyscalculia and other learning challenges.

I teach in a relaxed, fun manner and aim to understand and meet the current emotional and cognitive needs of each student I see. I believe that patience is always the greatest gift we can give children.
