I hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a focus on News–Editorial from the University of South Florida. My academic training provided a solid foundation in research, writing, editing, and media literacy, all skills I have since applied professionally across journalism, digital media, and public relations.

I have over five years of experience mentoring and supporting others in developing their writing and communication skills. During my time as Social Media Coordinator at the University of South Florida’s Office of National Scholarships, I worked one-on-one with scholarship applicants to help refine their personal statements and scholarship essays, primarily with undergraduate and graduate-level students. This involved both structural feedback and detailed line editing, helping students present their best selves in writing.

In addition, as a newsroom leader during my time at Waterman Broadcasting (NBC2/ABC7), I mentored junior reporters and producers on writing clear, concise, and impactful news copy under deadline pressure. My approach emphasizes clarity, audience awareness, and revision, which are all key components of strong writing, no matter the context.

While I haven’t tutored in a traditional classroom, my real-world experience has equipped me to work with learners of varying levels. My methods are supportive, adaptive, and practical. I focus on helping students build confidence in their voice, understand editorial best practices, and think critically about the messages they’re communicating.
