Hi, I am an experienced tutor currently studying at Northeastern University where I will be a senior in the fall. I have a combined major in International Affairs and Environmental Science and minors in Spanish and Italian. I have a 3.9 gpa and have been on the dean's list every semester of school. I took the AP test or college courses on every subject that I am tutoring and got a 740 on the Reading and Writing Section of the SAT. Through these tests and course work I have experience learning a variety of subjects at the college level from foreign languages to economics!

I've been tutoring since I was in high school and have taught kids in middle school and high school on regular and AP material. I've worked with kids to bring up grades in classes that they are struggling in and am a patient and friendly tutor. I have also aided in essay writing for classes and for college or scholarship applications and am effective at giving the tools necessary for students to submit their best work. Through talking through reasoning and essay editing I point our areas for improvement and assist students in letting their work best reflect their full abilities.

Through learning two foreign languages I have perfected the best methods for understanding grammar and memorizing vocabulary allowing students to feel more comfortable speaking and understanding the language. For Spanish, I grew up in a Spanish speaking area and spoke Spanish at my high school job. For Italian, I did a semester abroad in Italy and took Italian class there as well as continued studying both as minors in college. Through these experiences I am well equipped to help students become more comfortable speaking languages with native speakers and in real-world scenarios as well as in the classroom. I love learning and teaching foreign languages and bring enthusiasm to every lesson!
