I hold a B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

In 2004 I was sworn into the CA Bar. Despite enjoying legal practice, my true love has always been teaching, so in 2006 I launched a tutoring program designed to help pre-law and law school students make sense of legal texts and navigate through their law courses. In 2008, I expanded my service to encompass LSAT and Bar Exam test prep, and assist with legal job and law school applications. I currently run my own Law School Preparation service which provides students with assistance on every aspect of applying to Law School.

At the heart of my business is the premise that every student is unique and thus does best when offered a carefully tailored individualized program. As a tutor I've developed a reputation for finding creative ways to help students break through plateaus and often work with students who did not benefit from larger test-prep programs or who have learning challenges.

Every student who comes to me is offered a free consultation and the ability to conduct in-depth evaluation sessions so that I can fully understand that student's strengths and challenges. I then design a tutoring program which incorporates the teaching method(s) best suited to that student's needs. This plan serves as a blue-print throughout their time with me, but remains flexible should needs change or should the student feel they want to try something different. I believe the key to being an excellent tutor is to always be available to students, to maintain good communication with each client, and to remain responsive to their changing needs. At the core of each tutoring plan is my desire to provide an excellent experience which is effective, cost-efficient, and enjoyable (yes-testing is stressful, but we can still laugh along the way!).

I truly love tutoring and believe every student who has worked with me comes to understand how committed I am to always giving 100%. Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling a free consultation!

Bar Exam

I graduated Harvard Law School in 2003 and was admitted to the California Bar the following year (currently inactive status). Between 2010 and 2013 I helped design a Bar Review course for a major test-prep company. Since 2010 I have tutored over 100 students preparing for the MPRE, MBE and written portions of the CA, NY and TX bar exams. In addition, since 2008 I have tutored law school students in classes covering all subjects required for ABA accreditation.

Literally the most helpful and comforting tutor!

I've been working with Susan for a couple of weeks now and I've already seen MAJOR improvements in my LSAT practice scores! Not only is she super knowledgeable about everything on the LSAT, but she is a warm and comforting teacher who really cares about helping you achieve your goals - which I believe is the most important skill for a tutor to have. Anyone can have an amazing law resume, but I encourage people to look for someone who really cares for their students and is there to help - Susan is that kind of tutor. The LSAT may seem difficult and scary, but Susan will quickly teach you that there is a "method to the madness" (as she always says) and you WILL start to see the patterns in each section, the types of questions, etc. Anything you're confused or anxious about, she has the best answer and method for - it's honestly mind blowing. Problems that you find hard, she will go over with you and suddenly they're so, so simple. As someone who has timed/multiple choice test anxiety, I went into finding a tutor not even sure that I could score a 150. But after working with Susan, I am confident that I can definitely score within the 160-170 range. I'm so thankful that I met Susan and chose to work with her. I have no regrets, and I'm sure you won't as well!

Prior to working with Susie, I spent over $1k doing a Blueprint course. I made more progress with Susie in 2 months than with Blueprint in 6! Susie really knows her stuff, and accommodates to you as a learner. Overall, would not have felt as confident going into my exam without having worked with Susie.

Highly Recommend! Knowledgeable and Compassionate Tutor

I highly recommend Susan for LSAT tutoring! I initially turned to her in desperation after a disappointing first LSAT attempt with self-study. Susan helped me regain my confidence and achieve significant improvement. Her customized plan, tailored to my needs as an anxious test-taker and full-time worker, was invaluable. She especially excelled in teaching Logic Games, my weakest section. Susan's patience, expertise, and accessibility were exceptional. Her unique strategies made the exam less daunting, leading to a substantial score increase on my second LSAT attempt. Since then, I have received multiple law school acceptances and substantial scholarship offers, ultimately committing to Villanova Law with a merit scholarship. I genuinely attribute much of my success to Susan. She is the perfect LSAT tutor for anyone, regardless of their needs!

Highly Recommend!

In just a couple sessions, Susan has given me the tools and confidence to vastly improve on my speech, particularly for my oral presentations for school. Susan is accommodating, helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and I would HIGHLY recommend her for speech lessons!

Great teacher!

In this session, we worked on reading comprehension. Susan was very helpful to me when I would get stuck or confused. She was very good at explaining why a certain answer would be correct, love her as a teacher.

Knowledgeable, patient, and friendly tutor!

Susan is absolutely wonderful. I feel like I can ask her anything as many times as I need and she will explain it with no issues until I get it right. I love that she makes me walk her through things which helps me learn.

Great teacher!

Today we worked on a new type of logic games: grouping games. Once again, despite the trouble I was having, Susan was very patient with me. She really pushed me to work through the problems to help me find the right answer, and I appreciated it.

Great teacher!

Today we worked on various aspects of logical reasoning. We worked on flawed questions, and despite the trouble I was having, Susan was very patient with me. She really is great overall.

Patient & Kind

Susie is great and extremely patient. She always finds a way to make sure you understand the information. She’s very encouraging which helped when I became frustrated with my performance. She’s very reasonable and accommodating. I recently had my last lesson and I am going to miss her. Some people are naturally good teachers, she never made me feel dumb. I am sure I will do much better on this upcoming LSAT, as I can see things clicking more quickly!
