I have experience working with students in both suburban and urban school settings. I have done my student teaching at Needham High school and my pre-practicum at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. I also have experience teaching undergraduate students. I have been a teaching assistant for two years and I taught freshman undergraduate students the basic laboratory skills in Biology and Biotechnology. I have also tutored high school students and middle school students in general science. Before my teaching career, I was a research assistant at Northeastern University and Boston University.
I have done my BS in Zoology and my MS in Genetics. The courses that I took at both undergraduate and graduate level helped me gain deep knowledge in chemistry and advanced areas of Biological sciences. I think that my educational background, experiences teaching across different grade levels together with my passion for teaching makes me a very qualified tutor.
I've always had high expectations of my students, and I love to see them grow and achieve academic success. I am flexible with timing and can meet at a location that works for both of us. I am eager to meet with students and work with them to help them achieve their academic goals!
