Hi! I'm Riya, an incoming Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) student at King's College London. I have experience with multiple international education systems and specialise in helping students succeed in standardised testing and secondary school coursework.

Academically, I earned a 1540 on the Digital SAT (790 Math, 750 Reading & Writing) and graduated with a 42/45 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). I also completed the DELF B1 French certification after living in the French-speaking region of Switzerland for several years.

I tutor SAT Math and Reading & Writing, French, and IGCSE and IB subjects upon request, depending on the course content and level. I have 4 years of tutoring experience and 100+ hours in Math tutoring, and my fluency in both English and French makes me an able tutor for students hoping to improve their French.

My tutoring approach is highly individualized. I begin by identifying each student's strengths and areas for improvement before creating a personalized study plan. During lessons, I explain concepts step by step, encourage students to think through problems independently, and provide targeted practice based on the types of questions they find most challenging. I also keep detailed notes throughout our sessions so students leave with personalised resources to review between lessons.

I primarily work with middle school and high school students, including those preparing for the SAT, studying IGCSE or IB courses, or looking to strengthen their maths, English or French skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students gain both subject knowledge and the confidence to succeed independently.
