I'm Eric B., a senior in High School with a 4.0 GPA and a passion for helping students succeed. I achieved a perfect 36 on the ACT and earned five 5s on AP exams including both Physics C courses, BC Calculus, US History, and Computer Science A. Currently taking post-calculus Linear Algebra alongside five AP courses, I stay deeply engaged with the material I tutor and can share current, effective strategies with my students.
My tutoring experience includes serving as a senior teaching assistant for AP Physics, where I run semi-weekly office hours helping students work through challenging concepts in mechanics and electricity & magnetism. I've also worked one-on-one with students from middle school through high school in math, science, and test prep, both in person and virtually. What sets me apart is that I remember struggling with difficult material myself. I don't just give answers, I guide students through problem-solving, asking questions that help them discover solutions on their own. This builds real understanding and lasting confidence.
My teaching emphasizes active learning and pattern recognition. In math and science, I help students grasp underlying principles rather than memorize formulas. For test prep, I share strategies that earned me my perfect ACT score: time management, question analysis, and recognizing common patterns. I adapt to each student's learning style and focus on building independent thinkers who feel empowered to tackle new challenges confidently.
