I have been a mentor and tutor since I was in high school, but really found my passion for science during undergrad where I was a chemistry, genetics, and biology tutor. As a tutor, I implemented a teaching approach that emphasized conceptual understanding over rote memorization to enhance my students’ learning experiences. I also served as a teaching assistant for several science courses and have experience in course design and creating test questions that fairly assess what you have learned based on the material provided. Additionally, I have helped many students outline, draft, & refine their personal statements along with conducting mock interviews followed by constructive feedback.
