With over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a student-centered approach to every session. I hold a B.S. in Education, an M.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology, and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, giving me a strong foundation to teach a wide range of topics in the biological sciences.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students from a wide range of backgrounds, age groups, and learning styles. I spent three years as a laboratory teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology, where I guided students through hands-on experiments and complex biological concepts. I also taught high school biology for two years as part of a summer enrichment program, helping students build a strong foundation in the life sciences. Most recently, I’ve been tutoring both high school and college students in various biology-related subjects, tailoring my approach to meet each learner’s unique needs and academic goals.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, support, and adaptability. I tailor each session to the student’s unique learning style, using interactive techniques, practice questions, and supplemental materials to reinforce understanding and build confidence. My ultimate goal is to help students develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong love of learning.
