With over 8 years of teaching experience in international schools, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and needs, ranging from early childhood to elementary-aged learners. My expertise lies in fostering inclusive and engaging classrooms, particularly supporting students with special education needs, including ADHD, ASD, and speech and language impediments.
I am trained in the Second Step curriculum for social-emotional learning and employ strategies like Responsive Classroom to build positive learning environments. Mindfulness also plays a significant role in my teaching, helping students develop self-awareness and resilience. I have taught through various frameworks, including the IB PYP, and I particularly enjoy guiding younger students as they explore their curiosity and develop a love for learning.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy singing, digital drawing, and practicing yoga. I also love reading, exploring new coffee spots, and cycling around Tokyo to discover hidden gems. My hobbies often inspire creative projects in my teaching, adding a unique touch to my lessons and helping me connect with my students on a deeper level.
