My approach for teaching writing is very hands on with multiple opportunities for students to show their ability to apply my feedback. I do not just go through a document and leave comments. Instead, I like to meet with students one-on-one to discuss their writing, and work together to see how they can improve their writing. I believe that repetition, being able to see examples of good writing, and revisions are key in helping students improve.
