My name is Ira, and I am looking forward to working with you as your Hebrew tutor!
I am a native Hebrew speaker - I spent the first 25 years of my life in Israel, before moving to the US. Being a native speaker allows me to work with my students with confidence, ease, and patience. In my lessons, I help students of all levels, ages, and backgrounds acquire practical vocabulary and accurate grammar, while having lots of fun. I love incorporating songs, videos, poems and stories into my lesson plans. These elements help in making the journey engaging, and expose my students not only to the language but to the culture behind it.

Working as an online tutor has been so wonderful, and allows me to connect with you, no matter where you are located.

Beyond my passion for Hebrew tutoring I am also an active, award-winning musician - I have an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music, and I am currently a Graduate music student at Bard College. I have extensive experience as a music educator, including teaching at Berklee College of Music. Through 10 years of experience in music teaching, I learned how to effectively work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I bring this rich experience to the table in my Hebrew lessons.
