Hi, I'm Lauren! I graduated high school as a high-achieving student and I recently graduated from Emory University with Highest Honors studying neuroscience and linguistics. Over the years, I have found that my most valuable learning experiences were in small group settings or one-on-one with my teachers and professors. Having the opportunity to shape my education and feel comfortable asking questions helped me to become a better student. Now, I want to help other students personalize their education, explore different subjects, and realize just how capable they truly are.

I have 4 years of one-on-one tutoring experience in French, math (pre-algebra through calculus), and standardized test prep spanning across a variety of age ranges (middle school to adult learners). These experiences have fostered my love for helping others and I am excited to continue tutoring. I strive to make the learning experience fun and engaging, and to help you achieve your goals in a way that matches your learning style.

Throughout the years, I have always taken the highest level math courses available to me (including accelerated Algebra II, Geometry, and AP Calculus BC). I achieved a score of 790 on the Math section of the SAT, a 780 on the Math II SAT subject test, and a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam.

Excellent and amazing tutor

Lauren explained efficiently how to find the roots and zeros of polynomials with different effective strategies. She was able to clarify the material at an easy to understand pace. Lauren was patient and an amazing tutor who was able to teach the material without confusing me. I would recommend her, and I would request another lesson.
