I recently moved to Massachusetts from California, and I’m excited to bring my experience and passion for teaching to my new community. Before making the move, I taught third- and fourth-grade students at Odyssey Charter School, a public charter school in Pasadena, California. I taught reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Working with elementary-aged students has been incredibly rewarding, and I especially enjoy helping children build confidence in their academic abilities. I strive to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing a genuine love of learning.
I particularly enjoy teaching math and English and helping students strengthen both their skills and their confidence. Whether a student needs extra support understanding a challenging math concept, improving reading comprehension, developing writing skills, or simply becoming more confident in the classroom, I enjoy finding ways to make learning accessible and enjoyable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand each child’s individual needs and adapt my approach accordingly. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them become more independent, motivated, and confident learners.
