Hi, I'm Torey! I have a very unique professional and educational background that allows me to tutor in several different subjects.

I graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor's degree in Government and a minor in Accounting, as well as a Master's of Accounting. I have been a licensed CPA for over 8 years and worked at Deloitte for 7 years!

As a Government major at the second-oldest college in the nation, my educational background spans a wide range of political topics. My studies ranged from understanding modern safety net and welfare systems to foundational international, American, and ancient political systems. I also specialized in Middle Eastern history.

After 7 years at Deloitte, I decided I wanted to make a more direct, positive impact. I left the firm to pursue a career change to become a physician. I completed a one-year postbaccalaureate premedical program at Scripps College, where I completed general chemistry, biology, vertebrate physiology, physics, organic chemistry, and biochemistry within 12 months. I am now in the process of applying to medical school!

I have approximately a year of tutoring experience. I recently tutored the newest premed postbacc students at Scripps in biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. I also previously was an accounting teaching assistant and tutor for William & Mary's Master of Accounting program. I want my students to feel confident and prepared on their academic journey, and I welcome the use of any resources or suggestions that students and parents can provide. As a student who put myself through school and paid my own way through applying to medical school, I promise to keep my rates affordable.
