Hi, I'm Ofri, a rising sophomore at Haverford College majoring in Computer Science, and a lifelong math enthusiast! I've taking advanced math courses throughout all four years of high school (such as Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus), and I'm continuing to challenge myself with high-level math courses in college.
I've been tutoring 4th through 10th graders both online and in person. I tutored and developed curriculum for a small group of 4th graders, helping them regain momentum and even get ahead after extended COVID-19 school disruptions. After that tutoring course ended with the school year, I continued to work with a 4th grader and his sister who had just moved from a different country to help them continue to thrive and build confidence when solving math problems, as well as help them with their English and learn American currency with word problems. Additionally, over several years, I've tutored my younger siblings (who are currently in 4th and 10th grade) and helped with math homework and test preparation.
In addition to my academic experience, I've spent a few summers working at summer camps as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Overall, I have a lot of experience working and teaching kids of all ages, and I'm very passionate about helping students feel more confident both in and out of the classroom.
