My growth through mathematics gives me first-hand understanding of what it is like to not "get it" and not have any idea of what is going in math problems. I have been known for having a down-to-Earth way of explaining things so that people are not confused with complicated definitions. I also teach methods of solving problems that are both useful in completing the problem, but also how the problem can be interpreted and how it can be applied and extended to everyday life.
