I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and currently work as a Research and Development scientist, where my work focuses on applying chemistry and biology to real-world biomedical and biotechnological problems. Prior to this role, I was a research fellow affiliated with Harvard Medical School. My academic and professional background gives me a strong foundation across chemistry, molecular biology, and biochemistry, as well as a practical understanding of how these subjects are used beyond the classroom.
I have more than 10 years of experience teaching and mentoring students in one-on-one and small-group settings, including undergraduate students, post-baccalaureate trainees, and pre-medical students preparing for the MCAT. Much of my teaching has taken place through individualized instruction, research mentorship, and academic coaching, where I worked closely with students to strengthen conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. I have taught students across a wide age range, from high school learners encountering advanced science for the first time to adult students returning to STEM coursework or preparing for standardized exams.
My tutoring approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and confidence-building. I focus on helping students understand the underlying principles in chemistry and biology rather than relying on memorization alone. During sessions, I tailor explanations to each student’s learning style, work through practice problems step-by-step, and help students develop effective study and test-taking strategies. My goal is to make challenging material feel approachable and to help students leave each session feeling more confident, prepared, and capable.
