Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile, I'm really excited for the opportunity to help you get where you want to go.

My educational background has been in statistics, for both my undergraduate studies and my graduate studies. I graduated from Williams College in 2022 with a double major in Biology and Statistics, where I developed my understanding and knowledge of statistics, to the point where I was confident in going for my Master's in Applied Analytics at Boston College. There, I've completed multiple projects applying machine learning techniques on real-world applications, even winning a Case Competition on Sepsis Detection in 2024. I have experience tutoring math and statistics for students of all ages, but my general clientele has been for middle school/high school students. I started tutoring students back in high school, and would go to their residence for their safety and parental supervision. I would teach algebra and pre-calculus, but I feel qualified to tutor you in the SAT/ACT, as I earned a 800 in Math, 730 in English, and a 34 on the ACT, all in the first attempt. More recently, I've started tutoring with remote methods. I have also taught piano to younger students (ages 5-10) as I have completed California's Certificate of Merit program.

My approach to teaching is to give your kids the confidence that they've learned the material. I want to instill in them a sense of accomplishment that keeps them engaged and eager to learn more. Since we all learn a different way, I always try to identify how I can best connect and explain any questions they might have. I love to follow up with students after the tutoring session to make sure they understand what we just went through and even come up with practice questions for them if requested. If you have any questions about me, feel free to reach out and see if I'm a great fit for you. Thanks!

Data Analysis

Data Analysis

My background is in Statistics from Williams College and completing Boston College's graduate program in Applied Analytics. Thus, data analysis has been an incredible part of my life for the past 6 years. Although I don't have professional experience just yet, my knowledge and expertise on this subject comes from a deep interest showcased by my educational history.
Data Science

Data Science

My academic background showcases my data science knowledge and skills. I graduated from Williams College in 2022 with a major in Statistics, where I took classes like regression, information theory, statistical computing, experimental design.. etc. I then graduated from Boston College with an M.S. in Applied Analytics, where I learned about applying machine learning techniques to problems such as sepsis detection and forecasting US immigration trends. I've had many foundational courses in data science, in the theoretical side and mainly the applied aspect.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning was the main focus of my graduate degree at Boston College. I learned many ML techniques that I applied to projects such as sepsis detection, forecasting US immigration encounters with neural networks, PII detection in text, and NLP sentiment analysis. This has given me a wide array of applied Machine Learning projects under my belt, and a strong knowledge in how to choose models.
Piano

Piano

I've tutored elementary school children in piano, starting with learning how to read notes and associating the keys to these notes. All of my experience is taken from learning how to play piano since I was 6, finishing in high school with the California Certificate of Merit Piano curriculum and years of Sonata Contests. This means I've learned piano and music theory. I still enjoy playing piano and love to sight read sheet music whenever I can.
