Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile, I'm really excited for the opportunity to help you get where you want to go.
My educational background has been in statistics, for both my undergraduate studies and my graduate studies. I graduated from Williams College in 2022 with a double major in Biology and Statistics, where I developed my understanding and knowledge of statistics, to the point where I was confident in going for my Master's in Applied Analytics at Boston College. There, I've completed multiple projects applying machine learning techniques on real-world applications, even winning a Case Competition on Sepsis Detection in 2024. I have experience tutoring math and statistics for students of all ages, but my general clientele has been for middle school/high school students. I started tutoring students back in high school, and would go to their residence for their safety and parental supervision. I would teach algebra and pre-calculus, but I feel qualified to tutor you in the SAT/ACT, as I earned a 800 in Math, 730 in English, and a 34 on the ACT, all in the first attempt. More recently, I've started tutoring with remote methods. I have also taught piano to younger students (ages 5-10) as I have completed California's Certificate of Merit program.
My approach to teaching is to give your kids the confidence that they've learned the material. I want to instill in them a sense of accomplishment that keeps them engaged and eager to learn more. Since we all learn a different way, I always try to identify how I can best connect and explain any questions they might have. I love to follow up with students after the tutoring session to make sure they understand what we just went through and even come up with practice questions for them if requested. If you have any questions about me, feel free to reach out and see if I'm a great fit for you. Thanks!
