Crafting a standout college essay is more than just good writing — it’s about storytelling that resonates. Drawing on my experience as a journalist, I help students turn personal experiences into compelling, authentic narratives that catch the attention of top U.S. admissions committees.

I proudly hold degrees from three great institutions:
Columbia University (M.S., Journalism)
Georgetown University (M.S., Foreign Service)
University of Michigan (B.A., International Relations)

I work as a journalist for FRONTLINE PBS and was a reporter on the film “Hurricane Helene’s Deadly Warning.” My writing on the monkey trade has been featured in Science Magazine, and my recent documentary "Allies Left Behind” is streaming on Tubi. I also spent a year working with the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), where I contributed to oversight and policy research on U.S. operations abroad.

My personal essays have helped me get into undergraduate and masters programs, including fellowships with the Pulitzer Center and the U.S. Department of State. I have mentored prospective undergraduate, graduate, and fellowship applicants, helping them get into top-tier programs. Storytelling is my passion, and nothing gives me more joy than helping students tell their story to pursue their dreams in higher education.

As an essay coach, I draw on my journalism training to help students find their unique voice, guide them to tell powerful, memorable stories that standout to admissions committees, and clarify their goals and experiences into focused, emotionally resonant essays

I specialize in Common App personal statements, supplemental essays, graduate school applications (MPA, IR, journalism, policy), and international student coaching

Whether you're applying to an Ivy League school, a competitive program in global affairs, or just trying to find your story, I can help you shape your narrative into something that truly stands out.
