Hello everyone! My name is Maddie and I am currently an experienced high school mathematics teacher. I hold a Massachusetts teaching license, certified for mathematics grades 5-12 which holds reciprocity in 46 other states. I have been teaching/tutoring for 5+ years and have experience with many different learners and in many different settings.
I am a graduate of UMass Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Boston University with a Master's in Mathematics Education.
Over the years, I have realized the importance of educating and relationship building as an individual process. I have always enjoyed the teachers, professors and mentors who not only showed an interest in their field, but an interest in bettering others' journeys as well. I enjoy getting to know my students for who they are, and I value human connection and support systems more than anything. I believe success looks different to everyone, and I want to understand how you want to succeed, what I can do to help push you in that direction, and support you in that process.
As a side not, in my free time I enjoy working out, exploring Boston and socializing with my friends! I'm always excited to talk about anything Boston or fitness related! I look forward to learning more about you and how I can help.
