I have been teaching Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, ISEE, SSAT, PSAT, GED, SHSAT, HSPT, SAT and ACT Prep for almost 20 years. My experience ranges from teaching in person classes of up to 30 students, to one-on-one individualized programs both in person and remotely. I am passionate about helping my students learn the materials in each of their individual learning styles. No two students are identical and are able to learn the same. Teachers must be able to adapt and assist each student's needs in this way. Specialized areas include AP Algebra, AP Geometry, & all subject areas of PSAT, SSAT, ISEE, SHSAT, GED, SAT & ACT Prep.
I began my teaching career in the NYC Public Schools as a High School English Teacher in Brooklyn, NY in 1997. After 3 years of grading essays and realizing that I wasn't feeling as fulfilled as I could with helping my students, I decided to switch to teaching math. I was never as good a student in math as a student, and I definitely did not have many good math teachers that I could remember. I decided that would be my main goal as a teacher- to make math attainable and enjoyable to students of all levels! That is what I have been doing since!!
I've done this with Middle School and High School level students; Honors and Remedial level classes. I am able to make math accessible to students and engage them wherever they are at, so they enjoy learning with me. I've done this successfully since in the Osceola School District in the State of Florida, Sylvan Learning Centers, Varsity Tutors, Dana Hall School in Wellesley, Massachusetts, & hundreds of private students.

I am an outstanding math tutor because I am able to breakdown the concepts in ways that all types of learners can understand and enjoy!

I know that I have the knowledge and ability to help you reach whatever goals you may have in mathematics, no matter what type of learner you may be!
