I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and I am certified to teach mathematics K–12 in the state of Maryland. In addition, I have a Master’s in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), which supports my ability to teach multilingual learners effectively. With over 26 years of experience in public education, I’ve worked with a wide range of students in math, reading, writing, and English language development (ELD). My academic background and certifications equip me to offer targeted, high-quality instruction across multiple content areas.
Throughout my career, I’ve taught students from kindergarten through 10th grade in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I specialize in making math understandable by using visual models, real-world examples, and hands-on strategies to build confidence and deepen understanding. I’ve also worked extensively with English learners (WIDA Levels 1–4), helping them develop both academic language and subject-area skills. My tutoring approach is always student-centered—I meet learners where they are and design personalized lessons that support their individual goals. Whether I’m supporting a student with algebra, reading comprehension, or writing fluency, my goal is to create a positive, productive learning experience.
