I am certified to teach English at the secondary level in Massachusetts. I also consult as a Writing Proficiency grader for the University of Massachusetts, so I know what college-level professors expect from their students when it comes to writing.
I learned French and Spanish from scratch when I was a teenager. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to start as a small child in order to master languages! I have a knack for finding out the right comparison between foreign languages and English to help students "get" new concepts.
