I started private teaching jobs in California from beginning level to advanced students while doing my undergraduate degree at California State University Fullerton. Since arriving in New Haven three year ago, I have taught 6 secondary piano graduate students at the Yale School of Music and 4 undergraduate students at Yale College. In addition, I have also gave masterclasses during my stay in Taiwan, my hometown, as well as a few private lessons of music theory and music history.

My performance experience includes solo recitals, chamber music and orchestra. As soloists, I have performed in many countries and renowned venues including the Van Cliburn concert hall, and the National arts club, and the Weiwuying recital hall in Taiwan. I also have extensive chamber music experience with numbers of talented fellows and faculty from the New England Conservatory and the former founder of Bretano string quartet. I will be joining the Doctoral of Musical Arts program at the New England Conservatory in Fall 2021.

Taiwanese pianist Yun Janice L. garnered considerable attention as one of the semi-finalists at the prestigious Geneva International Music Competition in Switzerland, in addition to winning the top prize in the senior division at the 2015 Music Teachers National Association Competition. Her victory at the PianoTexas Young Artists Concerto Competition resulted in a performance with Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lio Kuokman that brought rave reviews from critics praising that “she captured Liszt’s style,” and "took full advantage of the fireworks.”
