I have been tutoring within the sciences since my undergraduate years at Binghamton University. I have worked with students in a wide variety of classes, ranging from linguistics (anthropological and psycholinguistic) to the hard and soft sciences (including biology, general and organic chemistry, basic neuroscience, and experimental psychology).
My vast tutoring and teaching experience has focused predominantly on organic chemistry, where I have helped upwards of 400 students across a range of undergraduate programs and universities. I have worked within a wide expanse of teaching environments, from small group settings and classroom teaching (including lecture-based learning) to individualized, one-on-one sessions.
With an arsenal of old exams, pre-made practice exams, and enough sample problems to keep you occupied until retirement, I am determined to help each student achieve the best possible suite of study skills, conceptual mastery and critical thinking that will allow him/her to succeed.
Laura was incredibly knowledgeable about organic chemistry. But she was also great at teaching it. She was even able to help my daughter retrieve some hope that she can improve her understanding of the subject. Laura has a lot of empathy and patience.Radia, 6 lessons with Laura
Laura was an incredible tutor explaining ochem in a way I am able to understand. Also was able to make additional problems for me to understand. Will definitely be using her in the future.Amylee, 8 lessons with Laura
Amazing Tutor - Smart, Helpful, and Engaging

Simply the best!
If you’re looking for a great tutor who is organized, brilliant and able to break complex topics into layman terms, then she’s the one you’re looking for. She values you, and wants you to succeed. She offers additional material if you’re in need. She’s the only tutor I feel is the best for me, give her a try, you won’t regret it.Cristina, 17 lessons with Laura

Super knowledgeable about orgo!
We did a brief overview of alkene & alkyne reactions to prepare for a quiz. She knew all the reactions by heart and was able to quickly come up with practice problems.Ally, 3 lessons with Laura
Knowledgable and patient tutor
Laura tutored me through a semester of Organic Chemistry I. She is extremely patient and knowledgable. Her notes were very helpful and clear; it was easy to go back and learn the material more thoroughly. She was available via text and email if I had any quick questions. She also sent me additional worksheets to do practice problems. Laura is truly an amazing tutor that I would recommend to other students.Jamie, 66 lessons with Laura
Very good tutor, knows her stuff!!
Per my daughter, Laura has helped her so much. She made it so easy to understand and made her less anxious. We should have done this sooner like last semester , but hoping to pull through the semester. My daughter had 4 sessions so far and it has been a tremendous help. Laura has been so great, knowledgeable , patient and such a good teacher .Ann , 8 lessons with Laura
Knowledgable, went over and beyond to help me
Laura taught me how to read a primary paper and write a scientific article review. I had not done this previously and she broke it down in such a way that made it easier for me to navigate and write about. Answered questions quickly and timely. She is excellent!Lauren , 4 lessons with Laura
Attentive and very knowledgeable.
It was only my first session with Laura but I feel really confident working with Laura as my GRE tutor. In the first meeting, she already summed up a plan for me to focus on my weakness on the verbal section. She already sent me multiple exercises for homework and will give quizzes for each sessions to keep me motivated. It's great to see that someone as busy as her that she pay special attention to her students.Eileen, 26 lessons with Laura
