She personally built a curriculum based on my level of understanding, and over time introduced me to the concepts I needed at the right pace to get me highly comfortable. It's obvious she takes time to figure out the best path forward for each individual student, and it shows in the results she's gotten to this point. And, in addition to patience and a strong understanding of how to teach Russian language, she's super pleasant to work with and makes every lesson genuinely enjoyable. In summary, if you're looking for someone to teach you Russian, Alisa is absolutely the right choice. 10/10, highly recommend.

Linguistic Genius
I’ve had two classes with Alisa. I will update this review as we have more classes. I can say however, that Alisa is probably the best language teacher I’ve ever had. She’s so knowledgeable on the reasoning behind the language, the things speakers do without knowing why (Alisa knows why), and exactly how to tailor a lesson to get you what you need. (Sometimes she’ll even relate something to Spanish since that’s my first language.) We’re only on foundations and the way Alisa is focused on a solid base before we move on to other things makes me incredibly excited to continue working with her. She is worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and go with Alisa.

Very Knowledgeable and Easy to talk to
Alisa has been a wonderful tutor over the past few months that I worked with her. She has provided me a strong framework to understand each declension and how it is used and has also empowered me with new vocabulary and phrases. Alisa makes each session fun and provides assignments that are related to my interest areas. She is very easy to talk to and is also very timely with answering any questions and reviewing assignments. Overall, I’d highly recommend Alisa to anyone eager to improve their Russian.

An Engaging (and Amazing!) Russian Teacher
I have been studying Russian with Alisa for over a year now, and it has been such an incredible experience! Not only have I acquired a strong foundation of Russian grammar, but I have also been exposed to Russian language and culture through songs, books, movies, cartoons, and a wonderful trip to Russia. Alisa does such a great job explaining challenging concepts and making lessons fun and interactive. She is also incredibly kind and flexible. In addition, I have loved being able to discuss language and grammar concepts across multiple languages with someone who has so much experience in that area. Alisa is so thoughtful and truly cares about her students and their understanding, and I always look forward to my next Russian lesson. I highly recommend her as a teacher!
