I’m Kaan, a mechanical design engineer currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University. I earned my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bilkent University in 2025. Over nearly three years in industry, I designed autonomous warehouse robots, test equipment, and load-bearing hardware for an aerospace company. Math, physics, and CAD are tools I use every day, so I can show students not only how to solve a problem, but why it matters in the real world.
During my undergraduate studies at Bilkent, I regularly helped classmates prepare for exams, explaining difficult topics and walking them through practice problems in small, informal study sessions. My teaching experience also comes from engineering teams. As mechanical design lead of my university’s robotics club, I coordinated design work with electrical, software, and industrial engineering students and explained CAD models and FEA results to teammates with very different backgrounds. In industry, I presented concepts at design reviews and worked closely with technicians and CNC suppliers on drawings and manufacturability. These experiences taught me to break complex ideas into clear, simple steps and to adjust my explanations to each person.
I tutor high school and university students in live, one-on-one online lessons. Subjects include linear algebra, differential equations, physics, statics, dynamics, and strength of materials, as well as SolidWorks, Python, and MATLAB. Every lesson starts with your goals, whether that is an upcoming test, homework, or a design project. I explain the concept, we work through examples together, and then you solve problems on your own while I give feedback, so you leave with real confidence, not just answers.
