Hi all,
My name is Max L. I've recently graduated with a Master’s degree from Boston University’s College of Engineering in Product Design & Manufacture (Mechanical Engineering), and I have a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I've always valued the importance of education in my life, especially independent learning to reinforce concepts I learned previously. I cannot thank the tutors throughout my life enough for their help in getting me to where I am today, and I'm excited at the opportunity to be that person to others now.
Previously, I tutored late elementary school to early middle school aged students in various math courses, particularly algebra. I also was a teacher's assistant for an additive manufacturing course (ME557) at BU where I assisted students in both machine operation and engineering design. In both roles, I emphasized students truly understanding concepts before moving on, and ensuring that techniques were actually put into practice, not just memorized. I formulated this approach while developing my own studying skills, and it has proven successful for both myself and others.
I prefer to teach in person, one-on-one, but I am happy to accommodate online or multiple-students at once. I’m known for my very fast response time to messages, so please reach out to me with any questions or requests and I’ll get back to you ASAP!
