Hi, I'm Madison! I hold an Associate in Science in Mathematics and am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree at Northeastern University. Having spent years studying math, I know firsthand that the subject often gets a bad rap simply because of how it is presented. I believe anyone can master math when it is broken down into clear, manageable steps rather than relying on memorization. In my sessions, I focus on building core understanding and meeting students at their current skill level, whether we are filling in foundational gaps or tackling advanced college-level material.

I have 3+ years of experience tutoring K-12 students in a wide variety of subjects, ranging from foundational arithmetic and fractions up through Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. Additionally, I have spent two years as a higher-education peer tutor specifically dedicated to Calculus I and Calculus II, alongside previous experience volunteering as an online math tutor. Because of this background, I am comfortable adapting my pacing and explanations for both younger students building basic skills and university students navigating complex proofs and derivations.

I want to make sure every student gets the most out of our time together, so I offer a free initial consultation meeting to discuss academic goals and current coursework before we start. Since I’ve used these concepts for years up through college math, I know where people get tripped up and have different ways to explain things until they make sense. We'll work through problems together step-by-step so you understand the logic and don't get stuck on homework or tests.

Rather than just handing out formulas, I focus on pattern recognition—like spotting when to use the discriminant or an algebraic shortcut—and explaining why the method works so the solution sticks.
