With more than 11 years of teaching experience, I am a certified Elementary Education, Special Education, and ESL teacher currently teaching fifth grade in Boston Public Schools. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and have experience teaching both in the United States and overseas. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including English language learners and students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and other unique learning needs. These experiences have helped me develop the ability to adapt instruction to meet each student’s individual strengths and challenges.
My areas of expertise include reading intervention, math intervention, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, executive functioning, and homework support for students in grades 3–8. As a special education teacher, I regularly design individualized lessons, implement evidence-based interventions, write IEPs, monitor student progress, and modify curriculum to help students access grade-level content. I also have experience using research-based literacy programs such as the Wilson Reading System and Lexia to strengthen foundational reading skills and improve student confidence.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress. Every tutoring session is personalized to meet each student’s needs while building the confidence and independence they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond. Whether your child needs ongoing academic support, help catching up, enrichment, or preparation for state assessments, I strive to make learning engaging, encouraging, and meaningful.
