Hello and welcome to my profile!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology (Pre-Med) along with a minor in Computer Science, both from a Los Angeles college. I've been a tutor and teaching assistant in General Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology. Having been a TA allowed me to make various connections with students, learn how to explain ideas in ways that all kinds of students can comprehend, and help students with their study and problem-solving skills. In addition to my TA experience, I provided one-on-one tutoring to high school students. This tutoring allowed me to help students understand their STEM coursework and feel ready and confident in the subject.
I'm currently an employee at MGH, the main teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. In this role, I help students and professionals in my field. I have a unique style of tutoring since I strive to see how each of my students learns and to teach to their unique needs. I help avoid an unproductive teaching style that only teaches my students to memorize; instead, I help them really understand my lessons so they can continue to be successful and knowledgeable in the subject. My lessons help you with a difficult science class, learn how to be a successful student, or become confident in what you do. My number one goal is for you to feel supported in your learning and for you to learn to be successful, and you're free to learn!
