Hello! My name is Sahil and I am currently an MD-PhD student cross-affiliated at Tufts University School of Medicine and Virginia Tech, where I am currently pursuing doctoral training in computational neuroscience and machine learning in addition to my medical education. I graduated from Cornell University in 2019 with a B.A. in Biological Science and minors in Psychology and Creative Writing.
My current work involves AI integration in medicine, having served as the past Director of AI & Data for MDPlus, national medical organization and currently serving as my state medical representative for the Massachusetts Medical Society specialty committee on private practice.
As a current graduate student, I have been on several published papers and independently presented my work at international stages such as the Schizophrenia International Research Society 2026 conference in Florence, Italy. I particularly enjoy mentoring students interested in medicine and healthcare careers, whether they are exploring the field for the first time or preparing competitive applications to undergraduate, graduate, or medical programs.
Over the past 6 years, I have worked with students and trainees in a variety of educational settings, including one-on-one mentoring, small-group instruction, and research training. I have assisted students ranging from high school through graduate and medical school levels with subjects including biology, neuroscience, mathematics, statistics, SAT/ACT/MCAT prep, essay writing and general application coaching.
My goal is not only to help students improve their performance on exams and coursework but also to build confidence, independence, and a genuine understanding of the material that will benefit them throughout their academic careers.
