Hi, I'm Daniel!
As a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and an incoming MBA candidate at Harvard Business School (Fall 2026), I know firsthand what it takes to conquer high-stakes testing and thrive in rigorous academic environments. As a Boeing Engineer and former U.S. Navy Submarine Officer (certified as a Nuclear Engineer), I've applied academia to the real world.
My academic and professional journey gives me a deep, practical understanding of the analytical reasoning, reading comprehension, and writing skills required to excel in mathematics and standardized tests. I don’t just teach students to memorize; I teach them to master the fundamentals and to think like an engineer. I help students break down complex algebraic equations, dense SAT reading passages, and intimidating GRE logic puzzles into manageable, systematic steps.
During college, I volunteered to tutor 6-12 grade students as well as fellow college students in one-on-one and small-group settings. My teaching ability was enhanced in the Navy, where I gained extensive experience in training and mentorship, guiding personnel through rigorous, high-stakes technical qualifications.
My teaching method is highly individualized and objective-driven. I start by assessing a student’s unique learning style and identifying their specific blind spots. From there, we build a targeted framework to improve not only their conceptual understanding but also their time management and test-taking efficiency. Whether I am working with a middle schooler building an academic foundation, a high schooler aiming for a top-tier college, or a professional preparing for the GRE, my goal is to help build the confidence, discipline, and strategic thinking needed to realize their potential.
