I hold a Bachelor’s degree and am currently serving as a lead 8th grade English teacher, a role I have held for the past three years. In this position, I am responsible for designing and delivering standards-aligned curriculum focused on reading comprehension, literary analysis, academic writing, grammar, and vocabulary development. My classroom experience has strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, analyze student data, and implement targeted interventions to support a wide range of learners.
Over the past three years, I have worked with middle school students in a full classroom setting, teaching multiple sections and supporting diverse academic needs. I regularly provide small-group instruction and individualized support to help students strengthen foundational literacy skills as well as higher-level critical thinking and writing abilities. My instructional approach combines explicit modeling, guided practice, structured discussion, and ongoing formative assessment to ensure students are mastering key concepts. I also emphasize building student confidence, engagement, and independent learning strategies.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience offering one-on-one academic support to students who need additional reinforcement or enrichment. My methods are structured, supportive, and data-informed, allowing me to tailor instruction to each student’s strengths and growth areas. I am committed to fostering strong relationships with students and creating a learning environment that is both rigorous and encouraging, helping learners develop the skills necessary for long-term academic success.
