Hello! I’m Brandon — a PhD graduate in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at UPenn, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (magna cum laude), followed by a Master’s and PhD in Bioengineering.
I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience across a wide range of subjects and academic levels. In high school, I tutored English and Math; during college and grad school, I focused on science and engineering. As a teaching assistant at Penn, I supported courses including Biochemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering Lab, Research Methods, Biomolecular Engineering, Nanoscale Systems Biology, and Soft Condensed Matter. I regularly held office hours and worked one-on-one with students on homework, projects, and exam prep.
In addition, I’m fluent in Spanish and spent 10 years living in Latin America, which has helped me connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
I believe that every student learns differently. My goal is to identify each student’s individual learning style and tailor my approach to help them understand challenging concepts with clarity and confidence.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’d be happy to connect!
