Hello Everyone! this is Xun (goes by “Sean”), your friendly, patient, affordable and customized chemistry tutor. I received my PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Brown University and completed my Postdoctoral studies in Scripps Research Institute and Yale University. Before joining Brown University, I earned my Bachelor and Master degree in organic chemistry from Nanjing University. To date, I have published 20 papers in peer-reviewed chemistry Journals including Journal of American Chemical Society, Organic Letters, Biochemistry etc.
In colleges and graduate schools I worked as teaching assistants for 5+ years and gained a substantial amount of experience teaching organic chemistry courses and lab sessions for undergraduate students. My unique, logical and step-by-step teaching style is loved by my students. When teaching students, I emphasize understanding the mechanisms and principles, rather than rote memorization (learn smarter, not harder). I have a tremendous passion in mentoring high school, college as well as pre-med students. For high school students, I provide the below tutoring services: 1, AP Chemistry; 2, USNCO Chemistry Olympiad Local and National Level; 3, Other High School Chemistry Topics. For college students as well as Pre-Med/Pre-Dental/Pre-Optometry students, I provide the below tutoring services: 1, General College Chemistry; 2,Introductory Organic Chemistry; 3,Fundamental Organic Chemistry 1/2; 4, Biochemistry; 5, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry in MCAT/DAT/OAT exams.

The students are welcome to bring their own selected chemistry books or any specific chemistry-related topics, assignments or questions. I am located at Boston Massachusetts.
